(Murcia) <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There are several types of cardboard and many possible applications.<\/strong> Cardboard sheets are made by superimposing paper fibres and are classified according to their internal structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.<strong>-Corrugated cardboard or corrugated <\/strong>cardboard <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p> This is the cardboard format you have seen a thousand times in the boxes that protect delicate items, or the ones you are looking for when moving house. <strong>Beyond packaging<\/strong>, corrugated cardboard has other interesting applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/YW5e9XHiGJzYRZITTqgnqIbM4geDX_L2nOyCTm3LlezSPYF7sqXPMxOZuMf8o_B7gtSwwEov6vdjryfqMR3KuswHz9CI9wgMnjIuhEOdxT0uaVNCOQzuBS68xeNw820dQU_Po_X_\" alt=\"Corrugated cardboard types\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is it like? <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Corrugated cardboard consists of two main elements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Flat sheet <\/strong><em>(liner)<\/em><strong><em>,<\/em><\/strong> is the <strong>outer<\/strong> layer <strong>,<\/strong> which gives the flatness and finish to the board (white or brown (Kraft)).<\/li><li><strong>Wave <\/strong> (<em>medium<\/em>), is the <strong>inner corrugated<\/strong> sheet that &#8220;cushions&#8221; the shocks and gives rigidity. Each wave thickness is assigned a letter: A, B, C, D, E are the most common thicknesses in order from thickest to thinnest.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/qWB_LGoO-8-7JsvlN0y3Y1GZDxlmCYRC3TTSOKFVau6u1zASXNjHV9zBtW28KPKsSWacc0vIt1GhB59KRJOflOafh88cBYzqYgpSTRnJUsvGTJh3HJxW1VDWtj3Fg_IwgLSTLJsZ\" alt=\"Ondas y grosores de tipos de cart\u00f3n.\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Liners<\/em> and <em>mediums<\/em> are glued together to form layers. Depending on the number of layers, we differentiate between the following types of board:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Single-wave<\/strong>: With liner on one or both sides. Very light and easy to handle. It is mainly used for packaging designs and folding product displays.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/KtlHemlHqz7m4BCUXxki2UTsUhYrNUwT3NXM_TtiaYHkcpuVhueidBxCX3kjFuU8bttVKF0ZcR7ezGKkkw_ZDc8Qu2hzrZDB-5W8c80yYNG0OnLho_-5tgXyqh6LP7wF4kj68nU1\" alt=\"corrugated cardboard furniture design detail\"\/><figcaption>Detail of furniture made of corrugated cardboard.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Double wave:<\/strong> It is used in packaging of greater dimension and resistance. Also in furniture designs, separating panels, screens and product displays. (POS). As it is thicker, it allows V-cutting for folding.<\/li><li><strong>Triple wave<\/strong><em>(triplex<\/em>): With this format we gain a great solidity and stability. Used in packaging for industrial parts and agriculture. Of the super-resistant cardboards, it has the best quality-price ratio. Normally manufactured in thicknesses between 9-12mm.<\/li><li><em>Quadruplex<\/em>: The highest density corrugated board we work with, available in thicknesses from 9-14mm.  Perfect for the most challenging designs. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>You will like corrugated cardboard because&#8230; <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It is versatile and easy to achieve<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>With corrugated cardboard you are on the safe side. With the right structural design it offers <strong>many possibilities<\/strong>. Initially developed for the<strong>aeronautical sector,<\/strong> due to its resistance, compression, flexion and lightness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is it like?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Its internal structure is made up of hexagonal honeycombs, which cushion impacts and provide thermal and acoustic insulation. And as it is a <strong>hollow structure,<\/strong> it is really light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/aZs1yt8Jv7MbtpH7WkYYMTMyhgKnUEk1u6Zy9S-gmvoJIKFdEF8x_wc7HzyxPo1R756aQrkyDTxigWbZssSZHSB_OG7fLWEVeNijdmb6-j9B-nLRs6FpNN02bbGUyU16Iqe7CKjc\" alt=\"honeycomb cardboard panel \"\/><figcaption>Inner hexagonal lattice of the honeycomb panel <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Another interesting feature of this material is that it always shows the <strong>same finish on the edge<\/strong>. For them we designed the project &#8220;Good Vibes&#8221;. Some of the most outstanding brands are <strong>Falconboard<\/strong>, <strong>Beelite<\/strong>, <strong>Nidokraft<\/strong>, <strong>Hexacomb<\/strong>, <strong>L&#8217;hexagone<\/strong>, <strong>Yamaton<\/strong>, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.-Honeycomb panels <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The industry is constantly developing new board formats. Sometimes new materials are obtained by combining and improving existing technologies. This is the case of <strong>honeycomb panels.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/UTELv5wkNAq46zElr2CrfuGHf9LEsYeshW4N4Y6pswOv7_1wNJZBER0Kj9bKicrCK1mjrZkevmoCRb7TId5YWQ6QzDy-QBd-l_6hdraicc_3axBYwMgYueXZWtG1YGUb_HTMYZ44\" alt=\"celular cardboard panel xanita type \"\/><figcaption>Honeycomb board is ideal for achieving smooth curved folds. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are they like? <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p> We could say that this cardboard is a <strong>hybrid between corrugated cardboard and honeycomb<\/strong>.
